Snare Types and Item Names

Item Numbers allow our customers to order exactly  what they need without confusion.  Cable size, length, component choices and type are used to describe each product.  The information outlined below will help you understand how to order.

First Number: Cable Diameter;  00 = 1/32”, 0 = 1/16”, 1 = 5/64”, 2 = 3/32”, 3 = 7/64”, 4 = 1/8” & 5 = 5/32”

First Letter:  Anchoring System;  S = Swivel End or Center Swivel, TS = Combination tree lock/ Swivel, XX = Tree Lock End

Second Number:  Cable length in inches. 

Third Number: When applicable on a Center Swivel snare, indicates the “tail length” in inches. 

Second Letter(s):  On a non-standard snare the last two letters indicate the snare type; CR = Cable Restraint, DS = Deer Stop

Examples: 

0S – 30 = A standard snare, 30” in length using 1/16” diameter cable with a swivel end.
1TS – 60 = A standard snare, 60” in length using 5/64” diameter cable with a combination tree lock/Swivel end.
2S – 40DS = A deer stop snare, 40” in length using 3/32” diameter cable with a  swivel end.
3S60 – 60XX = A Center Swivel snare with both neck & tail ends measuring 60” in length, using 7/64” diameter cable with a tree lock end.
