Thompson Snare Components

All neck locks, tree locks and swivels are made from various gauges of domestic cold rolled steel.

 STANDARD SWIVEL END: 

  (S)

All #0 through #3 snares come with our standard swivel (S) end, designed to be connected to a stake or other anchor setting.

  (TS)

Sizes #0 and #1 can utilize the same component but have larger washers and stronger ferrules to work similar to our tree lock (TS).

TREE LOCK END:

  (XX)        (XX - as it would wrap around a tree)

Our #2 through #5 snares, both standard and deer stop, can be ordered with our tree lock end (XX) versus a swivel end (S).  The image above on the right illustrates how the mechanism works.

HEAVY SWIVEL / CENTER SWIVEL:

Size #4 and larger snares are also equipped with a standard (heavy) swivel end unless otherwise specified.  They are made of heavier grade steel to be more durable.

This same component is also utilized in our Center Swivel option on our #3 and larger snare types.      

STANDARD NECK LOCK:

Made of only the best US steel, our standard neck locks prove durable and dependable and are used on all sizes of snares and deer stops.  A modification of this design is also used in our Thompson New Release neck lock on our cable restraint items.  This break-away noose device, rated at 250 lbs, meets all legal requirements for states which require their use.   

NEW DESIGN!!  CABLE RESTRAINT ANCHORING SYSTEM:

A new design to our product line includes a cable restraint anchoring system that allows the usage of a 1/2" rebar stake to be inserted and the anchor to swivel around the stake.  Eliminates the need for added components while providing an alternative to our tree locks which are not legal in many areas.
